The staff team at Brooklin Mill Montessori School is very much looking forward to working with you and your child over the upcoming school year. Each team member has been carefully selected for their qualifications and meets the school health & safety requirements regarding police clearance, immunizations, and emergency training. More importantly, we all share a love of working with children, a passion for learning, and the skills to create a warm and stimulating learning environment for the children.
Our staff demonstrates life-long learning and implements improvements through on-going professional development, self-reflection, and collaboration regarding Montessori practice, early childhood education, parenting, and child development. We welcome any questions regarding our qualifications and experiences in working with children. Meet the School Leadership

Mrs. Ciara Gauthier, Principal
Mrs. Ciara Gauthier joined Brooklin Mill Montessori School in 2012 as Vice Principal and was appointed Principal in 2019. With over 15 years of experience in school leadership, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to educational excellence. She earned her Early Childhood Montessori Diploma from the Toronto Montessori Institute in 2003 and has been teaching and mentoring educators since 1998 across various educational levels. In 2024, Mrs. Gauthier expanded her expertise by becoming a certified parenting coach, further enhancing her ability to support families both in and beyond the classroom. A passionate advocate for student success, Mrs. Gauthier is known for her compassionate leadership, collaborative spirit, and exceptional problem-solving skills. She fosters a nurturing environment where students, staff, and families feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive. Her leadership is also marked by a deep commitment to building a strong sense of community, where meaningful relationships and shared values are at the heart of the school experience.

Mrs. Pamela Mazerolle, School Registrar
Mrs. Pamela Mazerolle has been a dedicated and valued member of the Brooklin Mill Montessori School staff team since 2003. Over the past two decades, she has contributed to the school’s growth and success through a variety of leadership roles, including classroom teacher, team lead, and most recently, Vice Principal. She is a strong advocate for students with special rights, working closely with families and staff to ensure they receive the personalized support and attention they need. Her deep understanding of the school operations, commitment to student success, and collaborative spirit have made her an integral part of the school community. As School Registrar, Pamela brings her wealth of experience and organizational expertise to support our families and the continued growth of the student population. Pamela works diligently in fostering a welcoming and well-organized school environment.

Mr. Adam Gauthier, School Director
Mr. Adam Gauthier brings over two decades of leadership experience in the education sector, where he consistently advanced institutional priorities through strategic planning, collaborative achievement, and a commitment to operational excellence. Formerly a senior leader at Centennial College, Adam led high-performing teams, implemented strategic initiatives, and maintained operational stability through periods of organizational change. To his role as School Director at Brooklin Mill Montessori School, Adam also brings his financial acumen, experience in policy development, vendor negotiations, and long-term planning skills. You will appreciate his leadership style, grounded in transparency, accountability, and relationship-building. Adam has been involved in the life of the school since 2012 as the parent of an alumni student and ongoing supporter of school leadership.

Mrs. Jennifer Grundy, School Founder
The school’s founder, Mrs. Jennifer Grundy, is a mother of 2 girls, both former students of Brooklin Mill Montessori School. Mrs. Grundy was captivated by the Montessori learning environment when she saw the affirmative impact it had on her daughters. Mrs. Grundy made a career change and is a trained Montessori teacher, holding a diploma from the Pan American Montessori Society, and a graduate of the Ontario Federation of Independent School’s Principal’s Course. Prior to starting the School in 2002, she taught at the Casa level and is a strong believer in early childhood education. Mrs. Grundy is university educated and holds 2 professional designations.
