"The education of even a small child does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life." Dr. Montessori
Practical Life Activities
Practical life activities such as sweeping, polishing, and pouring invite children to imitate ‘adult’ activities as they gradually build their abilities to care for themselves and their surroundings. These activities build motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and control of movement. Most importantly, children exercise the independence and concentration essential for future learning.
